The very first gel in the Magnetic range and one of the most versatile. And now 20 years later the Standard Gel is still a favorite. This gel has often been copied but never been matched.
DO’S AND DON’TS
Standard Gels are quite easy to use and apply. The most important factor is to be aware that it is a very thin gel which requires a specific technique of application. It is not easy to build with this gel, but once you get used to it you will want nothing else. It is not easy to use on nail forms because it’s so thin. But on the natural nail and on tips it is the perfect gel.
Standard Gel is a thin gel that is be best applied in thin layers. A strong apex can be achieved by applying a few layers on top of each other. The gel doesn’t get extremely warm during curing and it’s best to use a soft brush for the application. Cure the gel for 1 minute in LED or 2 minutes in UV.
Standard Gels can be buffed to a high shine but if you prefer a Top Gel, then we recommend the Top Gel in the jar. You can apply this very precisely near the cuticle area, and this is easy to do because you are already working with a brush. Do you want the convenience of a bottle then choose the Soak Off Topgel because this contains a high level of UV filter. This will give the nail extra protection from discoloration.
This gel is the best choice when your client needs a strong coat. This is the hardest gel in the Magnetic range but also has superb adhesion on almost all nails. Also suitable to do a fill on acrylic nails. Standard Gels can be buffed to a high shine!
The Standard Gel comes in two colors; clear and pink. The pink variant is more easier to see during application. The clear variant allows you to keep the natural nail more visible. If you elongate the nail with tips then the pink is more beautiful, because you can camouflage the border between the nailplate and the tip.
If your client wears acrylic nails and they want to start wearing gel, then it’s best to use Standard Gel, because the hardness is equal to that of acrylic.
